A Journey of Hope: Our Ridgeback Boys
Where did it all begin
Earlier in 2025, we received a complaint about four male ridgebacks who were in very poor condition. From February, our team carried out regular inspections, worked with the owner, and even brought in a vet when we discovered they were infested with hookworm.
But by June, their health had worsened dramatically. When we found them again, they were in shocking condition, so frail that even their muscles had begun to waste away. We immediately brought them into the safety of our SPCA kennels and placed them under veterinary care.
With love, food, and medical treatment, they slowly began to recover. And today, we can share some wonderful news: two of these beautiful boys have already been rehomed. They are thriving with their new families, running free, soaking up love, and finally living the happy lives they deserve.
But their story is not complete just yet. Two more ridgebacks are still waiting for their forever homes. They are well-behaved, under 2 years old, and ready to fill someone’s life with joy. Thank you to the family who have already opened their heart, and to everyone who continues to believe in second chances. Together, we can create more new beginnings.
